| Beginning
at the mouth of Parley’s Canyon follow I-80 going east to exit #146
(Utah Highway 40). Turn south on Highway 40 towards Heber City. Continue
south and take exit #4 east to the town of Kamas. Along the way to Kamas
you will pass on the north side of the Jordanelle Reservoir. Upon arrival
in Kamas you will come to a stop sign. Turn right (south) and proceed to
Francis. At the stop light (flashing light) turn left (east) and proceed
through the town of Woodland. Currently you are on Utah Highway 35. Go through
the town of Woodland and follow the road up the canyon. At approximately
mile marker 14 you will pass over a stream (South Fork of the Provo River),
soon after that there is a sign which will direct you to the Mill Hollow
Reservoir. Take a right turn (south) on the road which will take you to
Mill Hollow and the Mill Hollow Reservoir. Approximately two miles up the
dirt road you will pass a Forest Service ranger station on your left. A
small sign up the road past this station will direct you to the “Granite
Education Center.” Take the first left (south) after this sign and
continue to the parking lot of the Mill Hollow Outdoor Education Center.
(If you keep going straight on the road past the ranger station you will
arrive at the Mill Hollow Reservoir.) |
